Aligarh police and administration are on their toes after receiving a letter that threatens serial bomb blasts at Aligarh railway station, Aligarh Muslim University, Manglatyan University, Center Point Market, Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express on May 23. Security in the Aligarh city particularly the mentioned areas has been tightened.

The station superintendent of Aligarh Railway station, Bharat Ram, said that on Friday the inspector of the railway protection force (RPF) of Aligarh railway station received an anonymous letter purportedly sent by Jaish-e-Mohammad in a envelope via post saying that despite all security checks serial bomb blasts would be carried out on May 23.
