Jamia Milia Islamia University Vice Chancellor Mushirul Hasan has appointed an inquiry committee headed by Justice (Retired) SK Aggarwal to probe the violence on the campus that forced the authorities to order indefinite closure of the varsity.
The students can take their grievances to Aggarwal, a University spokesperson said on Thursday.
With the campus atmosphere getting tense following violence over admissions, authorities had on Wednesday ordered indefinite closure of the varsity and vacation of the hostels within two days.
The varsity has been shut "sine die" following violence on Tuesday evening over the issue of admissions to students against whom disciplinary action had been taken earlier.
The varsity campus witnessed large-scale violence after a student leader tried to meet Hasan in connection with admission of some people who the varsity authorities claimed were "known troublemakers."
