Jammu protest against Pakistan after Pakistani troops shot dead and beheaded two of its soldiers at Mendhar in a gory replay of the 1999 Kargil killings.
While protesting against Pakistan, the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha activists burnt the Pakistani flag as a mark of protest and raised anti-Pakistan slogans.
BJYM State President Munish Sharma while addressing a gathering of morcha activists who were protesting against the killing of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani Baloch regiment soldiers, said, "The talks with Pakistan are futile as our Indian soldiers and civilians are being targeted every now and then. It is also failure of on part of the Congress-led UPA government and its foreign policy."
"India has not learnt any lesson from the past approach of Pakistan, which has Jammu and Kashmir on its top agenda and have been making all efforts to snatch this border state. Pakistan has always been made to eat a pie of shame in all the direct wars and it has changed its strategy of resorting to create tension on borders and harm the people," he added.
Expressing anguish and anger on behalf of the entire cadre of party, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma has also condemned in strongest words the barbaric act of the Pakistan troops in killing and decapitating two Indian soldiers in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district on Tuesday.
He said that the act of carrying head of one of the Indian soldier is most inhuman and extreme act of disrespect to the deceased. It is also against the International laws and the UN terms and conditions for treating the enemy soldiers during war time. It is astonishing such violation of norms of International Military Decorum has taken place in the absence of war during peace time.
The former union minister and MLA, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta has strongly condemned the beheading of the Indian soldiers on patrolling duty along the Line of Control in Poonch Sector bordering Pak occupied Kashmir and stressed for stern measures to bring the guilty to book and expose this sort of barbarism of Pakistan at all forums, in addition to review of the policies for tightening security both inside as also along the Loc/borders.
Expressing grief and anguish, Prof. Gupta said that this sort of savagery on part of Pakistan was not new but this time was against the Army Jawans, whereas earlier it was generally confined against the civilians to spread terror. Thus, the design is more meaningful than the earlier acts of terrorists, he added and warned that some bigger designs seem to be at work.
While condemning the Poonch LoC incident, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference Chairman Shafiq Mir has described the incident barbaric and of worst kind. Demanding the immediate apology on the incident from the government of Pakistan if the act was not state sponsored, Shafiq Mir said that such type of brutality is not allowed even in the war times.
