Members of the Jammu West district working committee held a meeting on Sunday to take stock of political activities undertaken by Janipur and Talab Tillo mandals during the last three months. President of Janipur mandal, Parduman Singh, and president of Talab Tillo mandal, Ayodya Gupta, made suggestions for improving the vote tally in the upcoming assembly elections.

A political resolution listing problems faced by residents of Jammu, especially Jammu West, was passed and members of the committee agreed to redress their grievances. Several members were of the opinion that candidates, who are residents and party workers, should be given tickets.

General secretary Ashok Koul said members should understand the importance of having booth-level workers, without whom, the party cannot ensure victory in the upcoming elections. State general secretary Kavinder Gupta stressed on the importance of party workers reaching out to residents in every ward and establishing a rapport with them, as their support would ultimately get translated into votes for the party.
