LEADER OF Opposition Jamuna Devi on Friday lodged a complaint  against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at T T Nagar police station accusing him of trying to influence the police investigations into death of Professor H S Sabharwal at Ujjain.

Referring to reported statement of the Chief Minister in which he had said that Prof Sabharwal’s death was not a murder but an accident, Jamuna Devi said that feeding ‘wrong’ information to police during investigation was a crime under provision of the IPC under sections 199, 200, 201, 202, 203 and 186.

She further stated that Chief Minister’s residence in Delhi was being used by the ABVP for campaign management at Delhi University. It further buttressed the point that Chief Minister was himself involved in Ujjain incident, she alleged.

Meanwhile, State Congress spokesperson Manak Agrawal has demanded that statement of the peon at Madhav College in Ujjain, Komal Singh Sengar, who is the only eyewitness of assault on Prof Sabharwal’s, should be recorded by a magistrate in the presence of five senior lawyers from Ujjain.

Talking to media persons, he further said that Sengar should be sent to Delhi for treatment since his life was under threat at Ujjain.
