After a starring role in the first film, Jennifer Hudson will now lend her voice to the much awaited film
Sex And The City 2
, teaming up with Leona Lewis to record the sequel's theme song.
Hudson who starred as Carrie Bradshaw's assistant in the first film has already recorded a duet with British popstar Lewis for the second installment, reported Sun online.
"The pair have recorded the song and it's being discussed as either the main theme or to feature on the soundtrack. They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the UK and the US," said a source.
The former 'American Idol' contestant who is preparing to wed boyfriend David Otunga later this year, was the first choice for the soundtrack.
The much awaited film about four girlfriends living in New York, has a bunch of special attractions including guest appearances by Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus and Liza Minelli.
The film starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kirstin Davis and Cyntia Nixon hits theatres next month.
