Journey for passengers from India and Kuwait is set to get easier with Jet Airways on Monday announcing new direct flight between the Arab nation and Mumbai.
The airlines will operate new flight aboard a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft from March 29, a statement said.
“Jet Airways has already established itself as a formidable brand in the intensely competitive India-Gulf sector in a relatively short period of time, on account of the warmth of its service and quality of its in-flight product,” CEO of Jet Airways, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said.
“We are confident that the new Mumbai-Kuwait service will prove similarly popular with passengers,” he added.
Informing about the schedule, the statement said that flight 9W 572 will leave Mumbai at 1900 hrs and reach Kuwait at 2030 hrs. Flight 9W 571 will then depart from Kuwait at 2130 hrs and land in Mumbai at 0400 hrs.
The flight would be the airline’s second daily service to Kuwait from India, complementing it’s existing Kochi-Kuwait service. In addition to Kuwait, the airways also flies daily from India to Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East.
The airways, which currently operates over 370 flights daily, operates a fleet of 87 aircrafts to 63 destinations including New York (both JFK and Newark), Toronto, Brussels, London (Heathrow), Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Dhaka.
