Oscar winning star Jim Broadbent has signed on to star in the sixth Harry Potter flick, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The Brit star will be seen in the role of retired potion's master Horace Slughorn who is lured back to the school by Hogwarts headmaster Professor Dumbledore.
Broadbent revealed the news of his joining the Potter cast to sci-fi website Dark Horizons, reports Variety.
Already confirmed to be reprising their roles in the next Potter flick will be Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton.
The movie will be helmed by David Yates, who directed ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, the movie adaptation of the fifth book in the series.
The sixth movie in the series is set to being filming later this year, and is scheduled to hit theatres around the world in November 2008.
