Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held demonstration against Omar Abdullah government demanding implementation of a Supreme Court order to grant relief package to Jammu migrants on the pattern of Kashmiri migrants.
Led by JKNPP General Secretary Anita Thakur, over 1000 workers of JKNPP converaged at City Chowk in Jammu and held anti-government demonstration over alleged bad treatment metted to Migrants of Jammu region, refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
They demanded equal and human treatment, justice and implementation of Supreme Court verdict of granting relief, ration and other facilities to migrants of Jammu region at par with migrants of Kashmir valley.
"We warn government that if they are not provided with relief at par with Kashmir migrants there would be serious consequences soon", General Secretary, Anita Thakur told reporters here.
She threatened that her party would launch agitation in Jammu region if the government failed to grant relief to migrants of Jammu region.
