The police on Thursday filed a fraud case against a woman employee of a private sector telecommunication company for allegedly sending bogus e-mails to job seekers on the pretext of offering them jobs in Ericsson Company in DLF City Phase-II.

Abnormal transactions were also found in her savings bank account. The FIR was filed on the complaint of Sandeep Pal, director of the company. The case has also been transferred to the Economic offence Wing (EoW).

The matter came to the fore after a Bangalore-based job seeker, who was allegedly fleeced by the accused, was told that no job was being offered to her.

“The accused sent fake recruitment e-mails. Candidates were asked to deposit a fee as security money before appearing for the ‘interview’. “We are investigating the matter,” he added.
