Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Modi on Thursday equated former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi with former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying both the leaders are 'two faces of the same coin.'
"What Lalu did during RJD's 15 years rule in Bihar, Jogi did the same thing in Chhattisgarh during his three years rule. Rather I would say Jogi is a step ahead of Lalu Prasad Yadav as far as terror and corruption are concerned," Modi said during a press conference here.
"Both created a sense of terror in the minds of people and were neck deep in corruption," he added.
Modi said, people of the state will now have to decide whether they want to bring back the 'terror raj' of Jogi in the state.
He even asked the Congress party to clarify whether it has declared Jogi as their Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh or not.
Urging the people to compare the development during 50 years of Congress rule vis-a-vis five years of BJP rule, Modi said, the state has grown much faster in BJP's regime than what it had achieved during more than 50 years of Congress rule.
Alleging UPA government of meting out step-motherly treatment towards BJP ruled states, he said, "Chhattisgarh would have developed much faster had there been NDA government at the centre."
The Bihar Deputy Chief Minister promised that the Chhattisgarh would become a 'developed state' if the saffron party is given a second chance.
