Veteran journalist Ramkrushna Behera passed away on Wednesday morning following prolonged illness, family sources said.
Behera, 75, was a widely respected scribe who served the Press Trust of India (PTI) for over three decades.
He retired as manager of the Bhubaneswar bureau of PTI in the early 1990s.
He is survived by five daughters and a son.
Ailing for the last two years, Behera was admitted to a private nursing home on July 11 last with several complications and subsequently shifted to the Kalinga hospital here. He was being nursed at the intensive care unit since then.
