JSM goes online to reactivate statehood movement

The Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has decided to reactivate its statehood movement by holding public rallies, seminars and take help social media to awaken the people of Jammu province about the "discrimination and injustice inflicted on them by Kashmiri leaders" since the accession of the state with India.

This was stated by JSM president Virender Gupta in a press conference conveyed here on Wednesday.

"It is decided to revamp the JSM, and involve students, youth and intellectuals in the functioning of the morcha. It is also planned to create the general opinion of leaders of various national political parties and the people in favour of trifurcation of the state," said Gupta, adding, "The Morcha would publish literature, approach the leaders of national political parties in this regard."

He said that the JSM has decided to create a special cell which would collect information on corruption related issues, and on the discriminatory treatment meted out to people of Jammu region.

"The cell would operate from Subham Hotel, Sunder Singh Gurdwara Road, Jammu. The people can approach the office from 4 to 6 pm daily, or contact on the following phone numbers: 2463031, 9419196301 (Virender Gupta), 9419137071 (Nathu Ram Gupta)," informed the president.
