The Mumbai crime branch will seek the Delhi police help to examine the role of the players and bookies arrested by their counterparts as names of some bookies that have come up in both investigations are common.

The names of bookies and Tikku figure in the statement of an accused arrested by them as well as in the Delhi case. A crime branch team that arrested four bookies over the last two days seized 30 phones used to contact bookies in India and Pakistan.

Sources said during the raid, they suspected spot-fixing was underway with the help of certain players. Investigations threw up the names of Tikku Delhi, Lokesh Delhi, Bharat Delhi and Jupiter — all Delhi-based bookies along with Badri Rajasthan, Sanjay Jaipur, Noka, Kafu and Kothari, all based in Rajasthan, and Jiju from Bhavnagar in Gujarat.
