Justine Hardy to give away Reading Mission prizes

ACCLAIMED WRITER, journalist and documentary film maker, Justine Hardy will give away prizes on December 23 at 5 pm to winners of the five-week long Reading Mission competition at the British Library in the City.

The same day the library will be organising a book reading session by Hardy in association with Lyall Book depot which is celebrating its 50th year of establishment.

Justine has written four books which were very well received. Among her books, Scoop-Wallah was short listed for the Thomas Cook/ Daily Telegraph Travel Book Award in 2000.

She has regularly been writing for British newspapers such as Financial Times, The Times and other Australian newspapers. Her book ‘Bollywood Boy’ traces famous Bollywood actor Hritik Roshan and latest novel ‘The Wonder House’ set in Kashmir was bestseller in various countries.

The Reading Mission Competition for children of Canyon H S School and Carmel Convent Ratanpur for younger age group children and for older children from Mithi Gobindram Public School and Carmel Convent BHEL started on Children’s Day. During the past weeks the library organised a story telling session, spoken skills and creativity session for the children.
