K Rajendra takes over as special DGP

K Rajendra Kumar on Friday took over the charge of the special director general of police (DGP) (Coordination), at the police headquarters here.


Rajendra, a 1984 batch IPS officer, will be holding the charge of the special DGP, which has recently been created by the government.
Rejendra, who was presently posted as a Jammu and Kashmir DG (risons), has earlier served as Doda SP, Srinagar SSP, Srinagar DIG, Kashmir IGP, IGP Headquarters (PHQ), IGP CID, IGP Jammu, ADGP CID and ADGP armed and law and order.

He has been awarded the President's Police Medal for meritorious services, President's Police Medal for Gallantry, service, Sher-i-Kashmir police medal for gallantry, Sher-i-Kashmir police medal for meritorious services and President's police medal for distinguished services.
