Twenty years after the last episode of Karamchand, the hit television show, the small screen’s favourite carrotchewing detective is ready for a comeback. Karamchand is preparing to return Sony TV.

Pankaj Kapur and Pankuj Parashar will team up again after they last worked together in the latter’s Jalwa.

Karamchand first went on air on Doordarshan in 1985 and is currently under development for a new series.

Parashar, whose last film was Banaras, confirmed the revival but was unwilling to provide details. “It’s too early to talk about it as we are still working things out,” was all he said. Sources reveal that the show is likely to feature several star guests.

But fans of Karamchand curious to know who will be cast as Kitty, watch this space.
