Members of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s family came to the Tamil Nadu Assembly today to watch his son and Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin give his reply on grants for departments of Municipal Administration and Water Supply and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s wife and Stalin’s mother, Dayalu, his wife Durga, his sibling and Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi along with a few more women of the family were seen in the visitors’ gallery as Stalin made a slew of announcements and tackled the Opposition’s queries, especially on the crucial area of water supply.

Karunanidhi’s heir apparent and DMK’s Treasurer.
Stalin was accommodated as Local Administration Minister in the DMK government in 2006. However, he was elevated to the newly created post of Deputy Chief Minister on May 29 this year.
