A thirty-year-old woman from central Kashmir who sustained severe burn injuries at her in-laws' home last week lost her battle with life here on Monday.

The police said the victim's husband, who was in custody after a complaint by the woman's parents, has been booked for murder.

The victim, a mother of two small children, who was living with her husband, Ghulam Mohiuddin Rathur, for the past seven years in Budgam district breathed her last at Srinagar's Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital after seven days in coma.
