The bilateral-discussions between the visiting Parliamentarians from Pakistan and their Indian counterparts has ‘rekindled hope’ among some separatist leaders of Kashmir valley.

Responding to the visit of an 18-member delegation of Pakistani parliamentarians to India, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Yasin Malik on Friday said that they weren’t against friendship between India and Pakistan.

He called out to the leadership of both the countries to leave their ‘non-serious approach’ and solve the vexed Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiri people, by involving them in the resolution process.

“Non-serious approach of India and Pakistan towards Kashmir will not only become cause of destruction for subcontinent but to the whole world. Parliamentarians of Pakistan and other policy makers are talking to their Indian counterparts these days. This hasn’t only rekindled hope among Kashmiris but in the whole world,” Malik said.

“However, once again the basic party of the dispute which is Kashmiris has been left out in the dialogue process. This approach of leadership of India and Pakistan will bring negative results,” he added.

The delegation arrived in Delhi on Wednesday led by Pakistan’s Deputy Chairman of Senate Sabir Ali Baloch and met Indian lawmakers for 4th round of Dialogue process which started between the two countries recently. The two groups discussed confidence building measures, the trust deficit between the two nations and the recent bilateral developments among other issues.
