A group of Kashmiri Pandits on Friday urged the Centre to announce confidence building measures (CBMs) while addressing the issue of their return to the Valley.

Hailing the NDA government for according priority to the issue, Panun Kashmir's women's wing Kashmira Vahini suggested that these confidence building measures should come before Kashmiri Pandits representatives are invited for talks.

It also requested the government to announce fast-track tribunals to start court proceedings on various cases related to the exodus of the community.

It also demanded that all Kashmiri Pandits be rehabilitated in a single homeland with Union Territory status in Kashmir.
