State health and law minister Kaul Singh Thakur met the members of Manali Bar Association at local judicial court complex on Wednesday. Addressing the members, Thakur said the legal profession was a noble profession. He suggested that the legal fraternity should come forward to protect the legal rights of community.
The lawyers should adhere to the professional ethics in letter and spirit and ensure that professional ethics were not violated, he added. He assured possible cooperation and help to the lawyers in providing land for the construction of litigant sheds and chambers for lawyers at Manali.
Thakur also announced a sum of Rs 10,000 to purchase law books for Manali Bar Association. Local MLA Govind Singh Thakur accompanied him. Manali Bar Association president RK Sharma welcomed the minister and general secretary Pradeep Sharma thanked the minister.
