Kejriwal is distorting facts, says Kiran Bedi

Attacking Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, former ally Kiran Bedi said that he was distorting facts and misleading Delhi voters.

“Kejriwal has been very successful in distorting the facts. He has not told the general public about the Lokpal Bill passed by the central government or the various powers that this Lokpal will have. Who is going to tell the ordinary man about this?” she said.

Bedi also accused the government of taking the wrong route to get the Jan Lokpal Bill passed.

“The parliament has passed a strong Lokpal Bill. Kejriwal should have fought for a strong Delhi lokayukta. He should have followed the proper process and tabled the Delhi Lokayukta Amended Bill. The challenge is now in front of the BJP and Congress to tell the person with no legal background about the central Lokpal,” she added.
