HOSTS KHALSA College beat UTD by seven wickets to win the District-level Inter-College Cricket Tournament played at Indore on Wednesday.

Electing to bat first, UTD team was all out for 162 runs in 37 overs. Khalsa College achieved the target in just 26 overs at the loss of three wickets. Pravin Karlekar (52), Ashutosh Savner (42) and Saurabh Shinde (26 not out) contributed handsomely to the score while Akhilesh Tiwari and Tanmay Bhanwar took four wickets each for Khalsa College.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at Seminar Hall, Khalsa College. Head of Department (Physical Education) at the Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Dr M I Qureshi was the chief guest.

He asked the students to continue playing with sporting spirit in the future as well and to scale newer heights.
