On the second day of his tour in Uttarakhand, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi continued his salvos against the BJP government on Tuesday. He said BJP wants chief minister Khanduri to cover up corruption.
"Why Khanduri was not necessary till a couple of months back. He is necessary now since BJP needs him to cover up corruption," Rahul said while addressing a rally in Pithoragarh. BJP is projecting Khanduri in party advertisements. The advertisements had a slogan -- Khanduri hain jaroori (Khanduri is necessary). Meanwhile Girja Vyas, Congress leader and chairperson of the National Women's Commission also asked BJP why it changed the CM. Vyas, while interacting with reporters here said BJP government had been involved in various corrupt practice, "therefore voters must abandon BJP in the ensuing poll."
