With the BJP losing all five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand, political tensions are rife in the hill state. It was suspected that Chief Minister B.C. Khanduri had resigned.
But talking to reporters on Tuesday, Khanduri stepped short of confirming the development. “I owe the responsibility for the debacle,” Khanduri said. “I have asked the central parliamentary committee to take an appropriate decision.”
When asked if he had resigned, the CM repeated the same lines. Uttarakhand is the only BJP ruled state where the party could not win even a single seat.
