A teacher and his nephew were rescued today when police arrested four persons, who had allegedly kidnapped them after they refused to pay extortion money, from Jasidish area.

A teacher and his nephew were rescued on Friday when police arrested four persons, who had allegedly kidnapped them after they refused to pay extortion money, from Jasidish area.

Pankaj Yadav, a middle school teacher at Jasidish upgraded middle school, and his nephew were allegedly kidnapped by the accused from their house on Thursday after they refused to pay Rs one lakh, police said.

A special police team launched raids and rescued them unharmed and arrested the four in this connection.

The abductors had asked for the extortion money after the school got a grant of Rs four lakh for constructing class rooms.
