Kids rally against child labour

CHILDREN PARTICIPATED in a rally to raise awareness against child labour. Commissioner RN Tripathi led the rally aimed at rehabilitation of children working in firecracker factories.

CHILDREN PARTICIPATED in a rally to raise awareness against child labour.

Commissioner RN Tripathi led the rally aimed at rehabilitation of children working in firecracker factories. 

The Voluntary Institute for Rural Action and Technology, which is a non-government organisation, held the rally that  began from the All Saint’s Cathedral, Civil Lines, and concluded at Subhash Crossing.

Children held placards and banners, which displayed slogans against use of firecrackers.

They tried to draw people’s attention to hazards involved in working in cracker factories and how children became a victim of major accidents.

The children also distributed pamphlets, along with flowers, to people.

The rally culminated in a meeting at Subhash Crossing where the Commissioner distributed sweets to children.

Those present were RP Dubey, information officer, JN Yadav, assistant information officer, Dr Omkar Nath Srivastava and others.
