In yet another accident on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, three youths were killed and one was severely injured when a Swift Dzire car they were travelling in rammed into a stationary dumper at Rajiv Chowk on Wednesday morning.

The expressway is notorious for accidents caused by stationary vehicles, especially dumpers parked on the fast lane.

The victims were going to Delhi from Manesar. Among those killed, Rohit Pawar, 22, was a student at a Delhi college, Aditya Jain, 21, a student of Kurukshetra University while Sanjiv, 23, was a passport agent. Jatin Tyagi, 22, an IGNOU student, is undergoing treatment for severe injuries at a nearby hospital.

“They were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared Sanjiv, Rohit and Aditya brought dead due to excessive bleeding. The condition of Jatin is still critical,” said a senior police officer.

The post-mortem report has revealed that the youths were not drunk. The police suspect over-speeding. The driver of the dumper fled the spot.
