The Chinese doctor who gunned down his Indian-American Yale colleague Vajinder Toor had lain in wait for his prey for over 24 hours and was armed with 1,000 rounds of ammunition, enough for a massacre.
Lishan Wang, a 44-year-old unemployed doctor, was also carrying directions to the homes of two other Brooklyn doctors he blamed for getting him fired.
The police report said Lishan was carrying a map of directions to Toor’s house and his photo, a former colleague with whom he had clashed at Kingsbrook Jewish Centre in Brooklyn, New York Daily News reported.
Prosecutor Devant Joiner said the police had found two loaded handguns on Lishan.
Lishan’s ambush plot appeared to have been complicated and meticulously planned.
A neighbour said he saw Lishan sitting in his red 1996 Dodge Caravan outside the house in which Toor lived with his pregnant wife and three-year-old son.“He had his window open."
I looked right into his face and he looked into mine. His face was expressionless. It creeped me out,” said Kalani Lopa, 56. “He was casing the place. He was stalking that poor family. It’s beyond tragic.”
