Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan are likely to meet on the sidelines of the G-8 Outreach Af-Pak Summit starting from Friday in Italy's Trieste city, in the second high-level contact between the two countries in a month.
This will be the first meeting between External Affairs minister S M Krishna and Pakistani Foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who was last in India when the Mumbai attacks took place.
However, External Affairs Ministry sources said there is no structured meeting scheduled between Krishna and Qureshi in Italy but there was a possibility of their coming together since they are going to attend the two-day Summit.
The probable meet between the two foreign ministers will be the second high-level contact between India and Pakistan in the last one month after the meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg recently.
Krishna is leading the Indian delegation for the G8 Summit which will focus on a comprehensive strategy for the stability in the region with special attention to Afghanistan.
