Singer Kylie Minogue made a cancer girl's dreams come true, when she hugged the little one and sang a song for her.
Six-year-old Katy Miles, from Argyll was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer just after her fourth birthday and the Aussie pop star learnt about her when the youngster wrote to her shortly after she was diagnosed with a massive Wilms' tumour, asking for an autograph and some signed memorabilia to auction.
Minogue, who's herself in remission after treatment for breast cancer, surprised Katy when she made her first TV appearance since her recovery to present her with a Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Child of Courage Award, reports The Mirror.
The moment turned heart-warming when Kylie, 38, bursted into a room clutching a bunch of flowers and asked the girl: "How about a little cuddle?" She also asked her," "Hug me harder!" as they fell to the floor.
The singer then told wide-eyed Katy: "Now I'm going to go up and sing a song for you" before belting out her hit Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
As she sang, Kylie blew kisses to Katy, who caught them and blew them back.
The delighted youngster's mum Louise, 34, said: "I thanked Kylie for being such an inspiration to Katy. I said 'It must be really difficult for you to do something like this, knowing what you have been through."
