Lallungmuana richest Mizo Lok Sabha candidate

Former Lok Sabha member and retired college principal, H Lallungmuana the opposition combine sponsored independent candidate is not only the most 'educated' but also the 'richest' candidate amongst the four contestants.

Former Lok Sabha member and retired college principal, H Lallungmuana the opposition combine sponsored independent candidate is not only the most 'educated' but also the 'richest' candidate amongst the four contestants for the coming election to the lone Mizoram parliamentary seat.

According to the affidavits filed by him along with the nomination papers, Lallungmuana has Rs five lakh in cash and another Rs 10 lakh in banks and saving schemes besides having a Honda City car and a Mahindra Bolero.

The 65-year-old regional leader is also having landed properties worth around Rs 35 lakh while his wife also has 24 lakh worth immovable properties.

He does not have any jewelleries and is free from loan liabilities from the bank and also from criminal charges, the affidavits said.

Next to Lallungmuana comes four-time minister C.L. Ruala of the Congress who has Rs two lakh in cash and around Rs five lakh in banking institutions.

Ruala, who claims his age as 72 in the affidavits, also owns a Maruti 800 car and a maruti Gypsy besides having agriculture and non-agriculture lands worth around Rs 43.5 lakh.
