RATHER THAN ‘rail’ Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will ride the ‘rath’ to checkmate Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha election.
Lalu will launch his ‘rath yatra’ at the end of April. For two months his ‘rath’ will trudge various parts of the State. Union Ministers and Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) leaders will accompany Lalu. During his ‘yatra’ Lalu will address public meetings and rallies.
Addressing party workers in the State conference, national general secretary of RJD Kamar Alam said Lalu’s ‘rath’ would stop Mulayam from coming to power. “Our ‘rath’ will also be an answer to the ‘rath yatra’ of the BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Rajnath Singh,” he said.
National general secretary of RJD and MP Ramdev Bhandari alleged that the Mulayam Government had failed on all front and could collapse any time. He called upon party workers to start preparation for the Vidhan Sabha election. The Samajwadi Party Government was formed with the support of the BJP. “Now both the SP and BJP are indulging in communal politics to serve their vested interests. RJD will expose leaders of both the political parties in its rally,” he said.
State president Bhola Singh said the RJD would play an important role in the formation of the next government. He urged the party workers to strengthen organisation.
