The dates for elections have been announced, and the time for submitting forms is coming closer. Here are a few things to keep in mind so as to be able to vote:
1. If you have not yet submitted your forms with the documents, then do so ASAP.
2. For those who have, make sure your name is included in the electoral rolls. This can be done by checking the roles on the various State’s Election Commission Website
3. Make sure all your details entered in the rolls and the Voter ID card are correct. If there any mistakes, please bring it to the notice of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and fill the necessary documents to correct those mistakes.
4. Make sure you have got your Voter ID Card, if you have applied for one. If you have not, please consult your ERO for the same. Although a Voter ID card is not a must, any Government approved ID card will also be accepted while you go to cast your vote.
