BRITISH LIBRARY completed the set of three workshops for college teachers by organising the ‘Learner Training’ workshop for English Language Teachers.
The workshop was organised on Monday in which more than 15 English language teachers from various colleges of the City participated. It aimed at exploring what makes a ‘good learner’, discussing different types of learners, examining methods of learner training in the classroom, examining methods of learner training outside the classroom and discussing potential problems with learner training.
Participants gave a very positive feedback and found it very interactive and practical. The Library also provides books, audio cassettes, CDs, activity books and online resources.
Since the launch of ELT collection a month back, it is being used extensively. Certificate for Teaching English to Adults (CELTA) certified Dr Vinita Bhatnagar, is the series trainer and the workshop resources are specially developed by the English Language Teaching Department at British Council, New Delhi.
These workshops were organised by the British Library to help Library Organisational Members (schools and colleges) to develop their English Language Teachers’ skills.
