Israeli warplanes carried out night raids on Tuesday in the north, east and centre of Lebanon targeting roads, bridges and homes, police said without mentioning victims.
Fighter-bombers made three raids in the Akkar highlands bordering Syria in north Lebanon, pounding roads and the Arqa bridge which had already been destroyed in air raids last week, the police said.
Planes also fired on two tankers carrying fuel near the Syrian border on a minor road in east Lebanon.
Late on Tuesday five civilians were killed in the same sector in the bombing of 11 tankers and three trucks carrying a harvest of apricots.
At Mashghara in the south of the Bekaa Valley a four-storey building targeted by Israeli planes collapsed, the police said. They did not know if anybody was inside.
