CPI leader K Narayana today said that Left parties do not oppose Congress "blindly" but are against their anti-people policies.

Narayana, who was here to participate in the Andhra Pradesh Vyavasaya Karmika Sangh general council conference told reporters that the party has decided to take on the party for its anti-people policies both at the Centre and the state level.

"When we joined hands with Congress in 2004 they praised the alliance. Now our alliance with TDP is being termed as unholy and opportunistic," he said.

The leader also demanded a CBI probe into the Satyam scam and said CID investigations were not enough to bring the guilty to book.

Also, lands purchased by Maytas should be confiscated by the Andhra Pradesh government, he demanded.
