Leopard caught by wildlife officials in Rajouri

Jammu and Kashmir wildlife officials have captured a leopard which had strayed into a village in Rajouri district, officials said on Friday.

Jammu and Kashmir wildlife officials have captured a leopard which had strayed into a village in Rajouri district, officials said on Friday.

On being informed that the leopard had entered into a cowshed of Jurmat Din and killed some of his goats in Gurdan Bala village in Thanamandi tehsil last evening, wildlife and police officials rushed to the spot, they said.

The officials later captured the animal and shifted him to Manda wildlife sanctuary in Jammu, they said.
