A Pakistani terrorist and self-styled sector commander of Lashker-e-Taiba was shot dead in an encounter in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, where two terrorists of the Harkat-ul-Jehadi-Islami outfit were arrested along with two others, officials said.
The Army shot dead one Abu Saria, a sector commander of the LeT during an encounter in Surankot area of Poonch district on Sunday evening, they said, adding that one AK rifle was recovered from the encounter site.
In another incident, terrorists fired at security forces in Banderkot area of Doda district, officials said, adding that securitymen retaliated and apprehended two of them, identified as Noordin and Nissar Ahmed, both residents of Kuchal.
One AK rifle with a magazine and five rounds, and one SLR with a magazine and some rounds were recovered from both terrorists belonging to HUJI outfit, they said.
Troops also arrested two over-ground workers (OGWs) of LeT Abdul Rasheed and Abdul Razak in Banihal area of Doda district on Sunday night and sent them to joint interrogation centre, officials added.
