Three persons, including a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist and a policeman, were killed in separate terrorism-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.

An LeT terrorist, identified as Abu Haaris, was killed in an encounter with security forces at Sherabad in Pattan area of Baramulla district in the early hours on Thursday, they said.

Some arms and ammunition were also recovered from his possession, officials said adding Haaris was a resident of Pakistan and a self-styled battalion commander of the terrorist outfit.

In another incident, police constable Mohammad Amin was shot dead at point-blank range by terrorists at Pakherpora in Chrar-e-Sharief area of Budgam district, they said.

Meanwhile, a civilian was killed when terrorists opened fire at him at Pattan market. Two others, including a woman, were injured in the firing, they said.

The civilian, Abdul Rahim Tantray, was apparently shot dead on suspicion of being a police informer.
