The principal of Welham Girls School, Jyotsna Brar, received a letter, allegedly written by terror outfit Indian Mujahideen, threatening to blow up schools and government institutes in Dehradun, revealed superintendent of police (Dehradun) Navneet Bhullar, at a press conference on Sunday.

Written in Hindi (Devnagri script), the letter stated that the terror strikes were meant to avenge the Gujarat and Muzaffarnagar riots and the atrocities in Kashmir. Bhullar said an unidentified person, whose face was covered, hand-delivered the letter to Brar's residence on Saturday night.

Police have begun an investigation into the case Bhullar said the police were looking into the footage captured by closed circuit television (CCTV) at nearby installations, and conducting investigations into the same.
