According to a newspaper report, the Justice Liberhan Commission report, has indicted former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, Opposition Leader LK Advani and former BJP president Murli Manohar Joshi for the demolition of Babri Mosque on December 6, 1992. The report also indicts some of the other leaders of the BJP, RSS and the Shiv Sena.
The report also claims that the entire movement for the demolition was meticulously planned and also adds that their is nothing to prove that these leaders did not have the knowledge of what was happenning at that time.
The Commission is expected to table its report in the Parliament in the winter session. The commission, which was set up 10 days after the demolition of the Masjid, submitted its report on June 30 this year after 17 years and 48 extensions.
Meanwhile, the BJP has refused to comment on the report saying that it needs to see the report before making any comments. However, it has said that it is a ploy of the ruling party to selectively leak the report.
While rejecting to comment on a report, which he has not yet seen, BJP Spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the government was not paying attention to important issues facing the country like corruption and poverty and diverting the attention of the people to other issues. He also slammed the Govt for selectively leaking the report.
