Life of Pi’s lullaby in a plagiarism row

Lyricist Bombay Jayashri’s joy of her song in filmmaker Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, grabbing an Oscar nomination, might be short-lived.

The song, Pi’s Lullaby is caught in a plagiarism row for being similar to the Malayalam lullaby, Omanathinkal kidavo, composed by Malayalam poet Iryimman Thampi in the 18th century, reports a tabloid.

Thampi’s relatives allege that the Pi’s Lullaby is a rip off.
