Dissident BJP leaders and Lok Sabha MPs LK Advani and Shatrughan Sinha have been extended an invite to attend the swearing-in ceremony of chief minister Nitish Kumar on November 20.

JD(U) sources confirmed that an invitation to attend the event had been extended to both the leaders.

Sources close to actor and BJP MP Sinha also confirmed that in all probability, he would attend the swearing-in depending upon his availability in the state capital on the day.

The BJP leaders will be joined by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi who is also slated to attend the ceremony. Though a formal invitation has also been sent to AICC president Sonia Gandhi, there is no confirmation from her yet.

AICC senior Ghulam Nabi Azad and Bihar incharge CP Joshi have also confirmed their participation at the November 20 event.

BPCC sources said two or three Congress legislators may take oath as ministers along with Nitish Kumar as the AICC has given its consent to join the ministry.

“As many as five or six Congress MLAs are likely to be inducted in the council of ministers. While two or three will be administered oath on November 20, the rest will be inducted in the next expansion of the cabinet slated for December 5,” sources said.

BPCC president Ashok Choudhary said all the newly-elected MLAs would call on Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on November 19 to discuss the names of probables for elevation as minister.
