THE LUCKNOW Mahotsav website www. lucknow-mahotsava.com is on. The website is beautifully constructed but it has the most vital bits of information missing. The website prominently showcases the theme ‘vikas bhi virasat bhi’, but one keeps hunting for the piece of information one commonly looks for.

The site opens to a slide show that showcases all the prominent buildings of the city like the Rumi Darwaza, Bara and Chota Imambara, Scientific Convention Centre, Baradari and Residency. The main page of the site that has a welcome note and sub-topics follows the slide show.

However, the drawback of the website is that it does not impart any vital information like the schedule of the Lucknow Mahotsav. The schedule web page is still under construction. The list of events is present but they are not supported by the dates on which the events are supposed to take place.

Similarly, the name of the top artistes are mentioned in the site but the dates on which they would perform is not mentioned in the site.

The extended programme of the Mahotsav, like the Youth Festival or the programme—that are supposed to take place at Kuriya Ghat, are also not mentioned in the website, which makes it difficult for the visitor. This way the website is unable to impart the visitors vital information and knowledge..

It’s not all. The  website is a telling story on grammatical errors.

The opening sentence of the website is erroneous. It reads “Welcome to a place where you don’t have to a Nawab to live like one”.
