Highlight Story

I was in my final year at college when I first saw Priya at my coaching class. Soon after, we went for our first date and that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Soon, we both began to prepare for post-graduation, but due to some problems, I had to postpone my decision for higher studies, while she went to Hyderabad to pursue a course in management.

For the first few months everything went well. But then, her attitude changed. In the beginning, I put it down to Priya being alone in a new city away from her loved ones. At the first opportunity that I could get away, I left for Hyderabad, telling my family that I was going for an interview with a B-school.

But once there, I felt that Priya was trying to avoid me. I came back home and tried to contact her only to be told that she liked someone else who was with her in the MBA course. I was heart-broken, but decided to move on and took admission in an MBA college in Mumbai. We kept in touch though and I got to know that things had not worked out between Priya and the other boy.

Then she moved to Bangalore where she worked with a multinational company. Soon after, I was placed with a finance company in Mumbai and had to travel to Bangalore for some work. I decided to contact Priya and propose to her.

The setting was perfect and she looked beautiful when we met. But my happiness was short-lived. Priya informed me that there was a boy in her office who liked her. Though she treated him as a good friend, she had left the decision of her marriage to her parents, who were now speaking to this boy's mother.

Though my love story had a sad ending, I wish her all the happiness in her life.
