These days, more and more organisations are making a conscious effort to create a comfortable and trendy work ambience for their employees. Offices are focussing on having the best of furniture and furnishings while setting up work stations.
The right look
“The fast changing office environment demands more flexible furniture. Organisations emphasise more on state-of-the-art, recycled or green, trendy, modular and mobile furniture,” says Vandana Khosla of Elvy.
With the aesthetics of working places also becoming a talking point, interior designer Mandeep Negi says, “More and more business houses are appointing interior designers to give the right look the office.”
Dress things up
Offices are not focussing just on the furniture; accessorising too has become an important feature in the work place. “Corporate accessories are the ones you need to make your workplace functional. There’s a huge range of desktop accessories in different materials like wood, leather and steel available,” says Khosla.
One can accessorise one’s working zone with number of things such as “glass paper-weights, pens-stands, diaries, clocks, graphic work, bookmarks etc,” says Goyal. You just have to be a little creative.
“The range of materials is enormous. Plastics and stainless steel being the most common, but glass, stone, wood, paper, ceramics, etc... all materials being used,” says Negi.
“The price of accessories may vary from Rs 5 to Rs 1 lakh or more, depending on what you buy,” says Goyal.
