Endorsing chief minister Omar Abdullah's March 7 suggestion that the upcoming elections would be a clash of ideologies and battle between secular and communal forces, political advisor to state BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma, Hari Om, said on Sunday that the "politically conscious electorate" will decimate "fake secular outfits like the Congress, the NC and the PDP".

"The citizens would vote to power the BJP-led NDA government under the inspiring, effective and skillful leadership of Narendra Modi," said Om.

He rebuked Omar's claim that the NC and the Congress were secular outfits, and said that these and similar other fake secular outfits have only vitiated country's political environment, pitted one society against another, and hampered the processes of national integration and economic growth.

"The upcoming election will be between those who stand for India and its development and those who survive and thrive on divisive ideology and blood and sweat of the poor," said Om.

"How could a party that flirts with separatists, bats for pro-Pakistan Kashmiri students, describes the Indian Constitution and Indian laws and institutions as anti-Kashmir, undermines the Army and denounces anti-terror laws as draconian claim that it is a secular?", he asked.

"The NC, ably backed by the Congress, has been promoting communalism in Kashmir ever since its inception," added Om.

"A party that has been denying citizenship rights to the refugees from West Pakistan on purely religious grounds and depriving the refugees from POJK and internally-displaced Kashmiri Hindus of constitutional rights cannot have the audacity to stake claim to something that it hates," said Om.
