Lufthansa flight connects Pune to Europe

The six-day-a-week flight launched on Wednesday will be operated by a 48-seat capacity business jet and cover a distance of 6,673 km.
With the launch of a Pune-Frankfurt non-stop flight by Lufthansa this week, the city, which has seen a growing number of Indo-German business ventures, is now directly connected to Europe.

A Lufthansa spokesman said Pune is the eighth largest city in India with expanding IT, automobile and biotechnology sectors and airlines considered it a profitable route.
The A-319 Airbus will be used to operate the flight which leaves Pune at 5.29 am and arrives in Frankfurt at 10.50 am. The return flight departs from Frankfurt at 4.15 pm and arrives in Pune at 4 am.
